DENVER – After a strong week that included a historic performance, junior right side
Shaney Lipscomb was named Western Athletic Player of the Week, the WAC announced on Wednesday morning.

The Grossmont College transfer wrapped up the week averaging 3.14 kills per set while hitting .386 with 44 total kills. Lipscomb also set the school record for hitting percentage in a three-set match when she hit 14 kills on 14 swings (1.000) against Seattle U on March 3.

In that match against Seattle U, Lipscomb paced an Aggie offense that set the school-record for hitting percentage in a three-set match (.554) and posted the best hitting percentage in a three-set match in the NCAA this season. Lipscomb's perfect performance is also tied for the second-best performance by hitting percentage in the NCAA all-time. Three players have hit 15 kills on 15 swings.
