SOMIS, Calif. – Alison Gastelum stayed steady in the top-10 after the second round at the Bruin Wave Invitational at Saticoy Country Club in Somis, Calif. NM State currently sits in ninth place at 62-over-par 638 after two rounds of action at Saticoy Country Club.

"Today was tough," said head coach
Danny Bowen. "We just had way too many unforced errors as a group. I thought we did a good job of fighting, but just couldn't limit our mistakes to bogeys or better. Our heads were up until the end though which is encouraging because they're learning a lot about themselves and their games this week."

The sophomore is tied for seventh place after shooting a three-over-par 75 to bring her total through two rounds to seven-over-par 151. Arizona State's Linn Grant leads the individual leaderboard with a one-under-par 143 through two rounds.

Pun Chanachai improved her position from yesterday, shooting five-over-par 77 to move up into a 17
th-place tie.
Amelia McKee is tied for 41
st at 19-over-par with
Karen Miyamoto in a tie for 62
nd at 24-over-par.
Alex Quihuis, competing as an individual, sits at 25-over-par with
Arantza Armas Stenner in a tie for 73
rd at 30-over-par.
