LUBBOCK, Texas -
Mia Regan was the only champion on Saturday for the NM State track and field team, as the Aggies wrapped up the Masked Rider Open in Lubbock, Texas.
Regan ran a personal best in the 3000m steeplechase to earn her first gold medal as an Aggie. Regan ran a 11:58.30 to become the second Aggie to win the 3000m steeplechase this season.
Emily Stutesman also had a solid day for the distance crew, as she finished sixth in the 1500m run with a personal-best time of 4:45.84.
Terice Steen continues to improve throughout the season, as she finished third in the 400m hurdles with a personal-best time of 59.38.
Israel Swanson also ran a personal best in the 400m hurdles, as she finished fifth with a time of 1:04.05.
Asjah Wallace (13.87) and
Aliyah Logan (13.90) finished seventh and eighth in the 100m hurdles. Logan's time was her best of her career.
The 4x400m team of
Lanie Whelpley, Steen, Swanson and Wallace finished fourth with a time of 3:48.79.
In the field,
Dascha Robinson continued her strong season in the triple jump with a fourth-place finish after a jump of 12.77m.
Yemisi Oroyinyin posted a career-best mark in the shot put, as she finished fifth with a throw of 15.65m.
The Aggies will head to the West Coast for the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif. next Friday and Saturday.
