Steen and Oroyinyin Sweep WAC Athletes of the Week

DENVER, Colo. - Terice Steen and Yemisi Oroyinyin swept the WAC Track Athletes of the Week for their performances this past weekend at the Masked Rider Open. This is the third straight week the Aggies has won either WAC Track Athlete of the Week or WAC Field Athlete of the Week. 

Steen posted her best time of her career at the Masked Rider Open in the 400m hurdles with a time of 59.38 which was good enough for third place. The time currently leads the WAC by nearly four seconds and is the 40th-best time in the NCAA this season. 

Oroyinyin continues one of her best seasons as an Aggie, as she posted a career-best mark in the shot put at the Masked Rider Open. Her mark of 15.65m is also the best in the conference and earned her a fifth-place finish.

The Aggies will look to continue its successful season when they head to Azusa, Calif., for the Bryan Clay Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
