LAS CRUCES, N.M. - NM State now knows its path to a WAC Tournament crown.
In an announcement made Sunday afternoon by the WAC, NM State will be the number two overall seed for the 2021 WAC Men's Tennis Tournament.
The Aggies will also serve as the host institution for the two-day league tournament which is set to begin Saturday, May 1, at the NM State Tennis Center.
NM State opens up play that day by tangling with third-seeded Seattle U at 1:00 p.m. The Aggies collected a 6-1 win over the Redhawks in regular season action.
NM State concluded the regular season with a 6-10 record which included a 3-1 showing in WAC matches. Top-seeded GCU will take on fourth-seeded Chicago State in the first semifinal bout at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 1.
The winners of the two semifinal matches will go toe-to-toe at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 2, with a trip to the NCAA Tournament on the line.
