LAS CRUCES, N.M. - Protect This House? NM State athletics will continue to do just that for the foreseeable future.

An announcement made Friday morning by NM State Director of Athletics Mario Moccia verified that Under Armour will remain the official outfitter of NM State athletics over the course of the next half-decade.

NM State extended its agreement with the Baltimore-based global leader in performance footwear, apparel and equipment through June 30, 2026. Under Armour has served as the official outfitter of all 16 NCAA Division I sports the Aggies compete in since July 1, 2016.

"Renewing our footwear and apparel contract with Under Armour was an easy decision especially when you consider the amazing success we have had in all of our sports over the last five years," remarked Moccia. "In addition to athletic achievements, the service we have been provided is second to none. I know our student-athletes and coaches are pleased to continue our relationship with Under Armour."

Since coming terms with Under Armour prior to the start of the 2016-17 athletics season, NM State athletics has showcased the suppliers' gear countless times - often on some of the biggest stages in college sports. The Aggie men's basketball team has made the cut for three NCAA Tournaments since Under Armour became the official supplier of team gear. Additionally, the program has captured a trio of Western Athletic Conference (WAC) regular season crowns and the same number of WAC Tournament titles.

NM State's football team ended a 57-year bowl game drought by appearing in - and winning - the 2017 NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl on December 29 of that year. On September 20, 2019, the Aggies' all-gray Under Armour uniforms were showcased on SportsCenter's Gear Up segment ahead of the team's showdown with in-state adversary New Mexico.

The Aggies' women's basketball team has laid claim to three WAC regular-season titles while making a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances since being outfitted with Under Armour gear.

All told, NM State athletics has racked up 34 WAC regular-season and tournament championships during its affiliation with the Under Armour brand.
