BRISTOL, Conn. - Aggies. Wildcats. Round two.

Wednesday morning, ESPN Events unveiled the complete bracket and all first-round matchups for the 2021 Myrtle Beach Invitational which has been set for November 18-21 at the HTC Center in Conway, S.C. NM State, who is one of eight teams taking part in the multi-team event, is scheduled to do battle with Davidson at 10:00 a.m. MT on Thursday, Nov. 18 in the opening game of the Invitational. ESPNU will broadcast the second meeting between the Aggies and Wildcats and of the 12 contests in the Invitational, 11 will be televised on either ESPN2 or ESPNU.

Much like the inaugural showdown between the Aggies and Wildcats, this one will be played in an ESPN Events invitational format. Back in 2017-18, head coach Chris Jans' first season in charge of the Aggies, NM State battled Davidson in Honolulu, Hawaii, as part of the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic. That day (Dec. 22, 2017), former Aggie great Jemerrio Jones connected on a game-winning put-back with eight seconds to go to lift NM State to a 69-68 triumph over the Wildcats. NM State holds a 5-8 (.385) all-time record against teams from the Atlantic 10 Conference - the league Davidson is affiliated with.

Depending on the outcome of the Aggies' clash with the Wildcats in the leadoff tilt of the Invitational, NM State will play either Penn or Utah State in its second of three games at the HTC Center.

NM State and Davidson join East Carolina, Indiana State, Old Dominion, Oklahoma, Penn and Utah State in the field for the 2021 Myrtle Beach Invitational. Past Myrtle Beach Invitational champions include Baylor (2019) and UCF (2018).
