LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State women's volleyball team is set for an exhibition match against Texas Tech at the Pan American Center on Saturday, Aug. 21, at 12 p.m. (MT). This event is open to the public with tickets costing just $5. Masks are required inside the Pan Am.

Four different Aggies were named to the preseason All-WAC team, the most among WAC schools.
Lia Mosher,
Shaney Lipscomb,
Victoria Barrett and
Carly Aigner-Swesey earned the honor. Mosher was named First Team All-WAC a season ago as well as AVCA All-Midwest Region. Lipscomb and Barrett were both named Second Team All-WAC with Barrett earning WAC Freshman of the Year honors as well.

NM State is coming off a 16-2 season in the Spring of 2021 including its second-straight WAC Regular Season title. Head Coach
Mike Jordan also picked up his 500
th career win when the Aggies swept California Baptist on Feb. 22 in Riverside, Calif. NM State's offense was one of the tops in the nation a season ago, ranking second nationally in kills per set (13.93) and assists per set (13.93) and seventh in hitting percentage (.295).

Texas Tech is coming off a 9-13 season where it finished 5-11 in Big 12 play. The Red Raiders return Second Team All-Big 12 honorees Caitlin Dugan and Samantha Sanders.

The Aggies are set to get the regular season underway at the Cactus Classic in Tucson, Ariz., with matches against UC San Diego and Arizona on Friday, Aug. 27.
