QUOTABLE | THULISILE AMON
"The 2022 WAC Championships in Nacogdoches was a success. Our goal was to get top-three and today we achieved that goal. The weather was crazy, it was rainy and muddy and cold, but we told ourselves that we are strong, fast, and capable. All the girls came in hungry to win, everyone gave it their all. To think all the training and hard work we put in paid off, and it is only up from here for NM State. What an amazing performance for the Aggies once again!"
QUOTABLE | ANEKIN HETMAN
"Our placing at the WAC conference meet doesn't really tell the story of our team. As a team we placed 11th, but we made some huge jumps as a team throughout the season. We were in a rough spot during the beginning and middle parts of the season, but we were able to really pull out some great performances today. Personally I had a 31 second PR which is what coach and I knew I could do all season. Had a huge race from Collins who ran 24:49 as a freshman, which is insane. We are all coming back next year so there's a lot to look forward to. We will be back!!"
