LAS CRUCES, N.M. - NM State's head track and field coach, Joseph Rath announced the upcoming 2023 Indoor Track and Field Schedule Wednesday.
The Aggies are slated to compete in six indoor meets this year. They will kick things off by heading to Lubbock, TX, for the Corky Classic, hosted by Texas Tech, on Jan. 13-14. This marks the third consecutive year the Aggies will compete in this event.
All the remaining meets the Aggies will compete in this season will take place in Albuquerque, N.M., except the WAC Championships, which are being held in Spokane, Wash.
NM State will attend the Dr. Martin Luther King Invite for the sixth straight year. This year's meet will be on January 21 and will be just a one-day event.
One week later, the Aggies are slated to compete in the UNM Team Open (Jan. 27-28) - just the second time they will participate in the event.
The Aggies close out their regular season in February with two more meets in Albuquerque: NM Collegiate Classic (Feb. 3-4) and the Don Kirby Elite Invitational (Feb. 10-11). This is the fourth straight year the Aggies compete in the NM Collegiate Classic, and the sixth straight year they enter the Don Kirby Invitational.
The Aggies will have roughly a week off before they head to Spokane for the WAC Indoor Track & Field Championships, scheduled to take place February 24-25.
If the Aggies have any athletes qualify, they will head back to Albuquerque to compete in the NCAA Indoor Championships, scheduled for March 10-11.
