ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. –
A late add on to the regular season allows the throwers for NM State to find success in Albuquerque at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational.

The first of two events was the weight throw, where freshman Phetisang Makhethe threw for a personal best of 18.06m in her third collegiate event. The toss was enough for a top five finish and placed her fifth all-time in program history.

The improvement continued with Makiya Moore as she threw for a personal best of 17.22m in the weight throw, which placed her tenth in the competition. Freshman, Kaitlyn Ward had a toss of 14.23m in the weight throw for the Aggies.

Day Two:

Saturday morning, Los Alamos native Rebecca Green placed in the middle of the charts at 16th out of the 45 throwers that competed in the shot put. The sophomore put up a toss of 14.03m, which placed her seventh all time in NM State school history. She now holds the sixth and seventh spots of the schools top ten shot put throws.
