NM State Looks to Defend WAC Title Beginning Monday

The Aggies have won six of the last seven WAC Championships.

TEEING OFF
• The WAC Women's Golf Championship is being held in Texas for the first time since 2004. The Riverhill Country Club has been host to over 40 USGA and Texas Golf Association events. 

•  The Aggies have earned an automatic qualification to the NCAA Regionals in May.  Last year, the Aggies won the 2021 Championship by seven strokes at Boulder Creek GC before earning a top-10 finish at the NCAA Albuquerque Regional.

•  NM State has won six of the last seven WAC Women's Golf Championships dating back to 2014. 

•  The Aggies will be paired with Utah Valley and UT Rio Grande Valley, teeing off at 8:45 AM on Friday.  

• Amelia McKee, Arantza Armas, Valentina Origel, Meiji Tungprapunvong, and Alison Gastelum will be the five competing for NM State in Monday's opening round.  

COMING UP NEXT
• Following Monday's round, the Aggies will compete in the remaining two rounds of the WAC Championships on Tuesday and Wednesday.
