NORMAN, Okla. – Another week. Another academic award for NM State men's golf. After
Aidan Thomas earned All-America Scholar honors last week, the Aggies picked up a team award this week.
NM State was named an All-Academic Team by the Golf Coaches Association of America. To qualify as an All-Academic Team, the program must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher throughout the 2021-22 academic year.
As a team, the Aggies have a history of success in the classroom. Five NM State golfers –
Trey Diehl,
Matthew Jackman,
Alvaro Morales,
Scott Rescigno, and Thomas – were named as Spring Academic All-WAC honorees in late June.
Head coach
Mike Dirks and the Aggies will begin their season in early September. Full details on the Aggies schedule will be announced soon.
