LAS CRUCES, N.M. – After three tournaments on the road to open the season, the NM State women's golf team returns to Las Cruces for the 2022 Golf Iconic Classic. The three-day event is the only tournament for the Aggies in the Land of Enchantment for the 2023-24 campaign. The field features sixteen teams, including Conference USA rivals UTEP, Middle Tennessee, and Jacksonville State.
Admission will be free for all fans interested in attending the Golf Iconic Classic. Each of the three rounds will begin at 8:30 a.m. MT. The Aggies open the tournament on holes 1-4 and will be grouped with Northern Arizona, Boston College, and Long Beach State.
Coming off of being named Conference USA Golfer of the Week,
Alison Gastelum will once again lead the way for the Aggies on the home course. Gastelum will be joined by
Emma Bunch,
Angela Garvin,
Valentina Origel, and Isabel Laulhé in the Aggies' lineup. All ten players on the NM State roster will participate in the home tournament, though, with
Kaylee Chen,
Alexandria Armendariz,
Camille Pazouki,
Arantza Armas Stenner, and
Marley Moncada competing as individuals.

The Field
Sixteen teams make up the 2023 Golf Iconic Classic Field. NM State will be joined by Northern Arizona, Long Beach State, Boston College, Nevada, San Francisco, Middle Tennessee, Boise State, Jacksonville State, UTRGV, UT Arlington, UC Davis, Eastern Kentucky, Texas A&M – Corpus Christi, UTEP, and Southern Utah.
Format
The Golf Iconic Classic will be a three-day event in which the five members of each team will play on the NMSU Golf Course. Golfers will play 18 holes with tee times beginning with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. (MT) on Monday. Tuesday and Wednesday will also begin at 8:30 a.m. (MT) with a shotgun start.
