LAHAINA, Hawai'i – Two days into the Anuenue Spring Break Classic, the Aggies sit alone in fifth place. A trio of Aggies in
Emma Bunch,
Valentina Origel, and
Alison Gastelum all remain grouped together in a tie for fifteenth place entering the final round.
The Aggies entered tie day tied for fifth place with Cal Poly. Climbing as high as third, the Aggies will enter the final round alone in fifth. Shooting a 283 (-5) as a team on Tuesday, the Aggies matched No. 30 UCLA as the teams with the third-lowest scores in the field.
Kaylee Chen and
Valentina Origel both shot a 70 (-2) to pace the Aggies. Throughout the day, Chen posted par on sixteen holes, birdieing the other two. After two rounds, Chen remains tied for second in the field with 28 pars.
After leading the Aggies on Monday,
Emma Bunch remains atop the teams leaderboard with Origel and
Alison Gastelum. Bunch shot 34 (-3) on the front nine for the lowest nine-hole score of any of the Aggies.
Round Two Notes
