BLAINE, Wash. – After a tremendous regular season, NM State and the rest of the WAC schools will head to Blaine, Washington for the WAC Women's Golf Championship. The defending WAC champions once again look to earn the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
The Aggies have seen tremendous success in the WAC Championship, winning seven of the last eight titles. The Aggies look to break a tie with the University of Tulsa for the most championships won by a school as each boasts seven titles. The three-day event will be the last shot at breaking the WAC record for NM State as the team transitions to Conference USA over the summer.
Rain is projected in the forecast for Blaine on Sunday and Monday with temperatures topping out at 48 and 52 degrees, respectively.
NM State will be led by
Emma Bunch, who will play the top-spot in the Aggies' lineup on Sunday. Bunch will be followed by
Valentina Origel,
