PROVO, Utah – In the final tune-up before the WAC Championships, the NM State women's golf team will battle against a small field in Provo, Utah. Hosted by Brigham Young, the Riverside Classic will feature just eight teams, giving a feel similar to the upcoming conference tournament for the Aggies.
Pairings for the opening day at the Riverside Classic have not been released. The tournament will feature a unique format compared to most collegiate golf tournaments. In Utah, the 2's and 3's will play together, as will the 4's and 5's in the various lineups. For NM State, that means
Emma Bunch and
Meiji Tungprapunvong will play together on Monday, as will
Valentina Origel and
Kaylee Chen.
Alison Gastelum will hold the top spot for NM State and
Alex Quihuis will play in the tournament as an individual.
