Women's Golf Set for Badger Invitational

| By:

For the second time this week, NM State will compete on the golf course

MADISON, Wis. – NM State looks to build on a strong showing from the season-opening tournament earlier this week. Head coach Danny Bowen will turn to the same five members of the team that competed in the Golfweek Fall Challenge as the team takes on the Badger Invitational.

Earlier this week, Emma Bunch picked up her first top-three finish of the season with a tie for second place in Pawley's Island, S.C.. Right behind Bunch was Angela Garvin, a graduate transfer from Maryland, who finished tied for 20th. Rounding out the NM State lineup will be Kaylee Chen, Valentina Origel, and Alison Gastelum.

Last year's edition of the Badger Invitational saw Nebraska fire a tournament-record 863 (-1) to win the event. Three teams in the field shattered the previous tournament-record with the Huskers besting the mark by 12-strokes.
