LAS CRUCES, N.M. – As the end of September nears, NM State is one the road one final time for the Dave Murray Invitational, hosted by the University of Arizona. This is the third meet the Aggies will compete in this month, following the 2023 Lori Fitzgerald Memorial Open on September 2 and the Texas Tech Open on September 15.

th will represent the final regular season meet for NM State, when they visit College Station, Texas for the Arturo Barrios Invitational. The CUSA Cross Country Championships will take place on October 28
th from Bowling Green, Kentucky.
The men's 8k is set to start the meet, beginning at 8:00 a.m. MT while the women's 6k will begin at approximately 8:45 a.m. MT. Fans can follow along with the results thanks to
finishedresults.
In total nine teams will be making the trip to Tucson including host Arizona, UTEP, Arizona State, NAU, UNLV, El Paso CC, Park Gilbert and GCU. From the Aggies, 20 student-athletes will make the trek, including ten men and ten women.

Men's
- Competing first, the men put together a solid performance, finishing eighth among 16 teams with 259 points. Anekin Hetman paced NM State, leading the pack to finish 34th with a time of 26:55.70.
- Collins Yego finished second among the Aggies competing in Lubbock, crossing the line with a time of 27:15.70 to take 46th.
- Freshman Derick Castellanos competed in the 8k for the first time at NM State, recording a time of 27:49.40 to record a 58th place finish.
Women's
- Jordan Torres continued her season's hot start, leading the way for the Aggies with a time of 23:51.30 to finish 14th among 128 entrants – a personal best.
- Angela Korte represented the second NM State student-athlete to cross the finish line, shattering her previous best in the 6k by nearly two minutes, posting a time of 24:42.50 to take 23rd.
One Year Ago… | Dave Murray Invitational | 9.30.23
- Anekin Hetman recorded a personal best of 24:35.1 to take 13th, while Collins Yego rounded out the top-20 with a time of 25:18.5.
- Thobile Amon (20:44.5) and Thulisile Amon (20:52.0) do everything together, including finish races. The pair of twins crossed the finish line back-to-back coming in seventh and eighth place.
