LAS CRUCES, N.M. – After NM State men's basketball announced its full non-conference schedule on Tuesday, the Southeastern Conference has announced the tip-off time and television network for NM State's trip to Lexington, Ky. to open the season.
 
NM State and Kentucky will square off on the SEC Network, beginning at 6:00 p.m. MT / 8:00 p.m. ET on Monday, November 6. The game against the Wildcats will be the first ever regular season meeting between the two schools and just the second matchup in program history.
 
Previously, the Aggies and Wildcats met on March 12, 1999 in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. Three-seed Kenucky upended NM State and continued to roll through the tournament before falling in the Elite Eight.
 
When it comes to the hardwood, the Aggies have not been featured on the SEC Network since Dec. 22, 2019 when the NM State topped Mississippi State 58-52 in the capital city of Jackson.
