DALLAS – Jena Johannes wins her second Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week Award, Conference USA announced on Tuesday, Oct. 1. The Aggies have now won six total CUSA Weekly Awards on the year, the second most in the conference.

Johannes did an excellent job leading the Aggie Defense this week holding their opponents to just one goal on the week. Johannes only missed nine minutes of the two games that the Aggies played this past week. Johannes and the Aggie defense held their opponents to 17 shots on the week and eight shots on goal.

Johannes is one of five Aggies to start in all 12 games the Aggies have played so far with the likes of
Valerie Guha,
Mya Hammack,
Marlee Cavitt and
Brooke Schultz. Johaness has played a total of 950 minutes missing only 130 minutes of the season.

The Aggies have now won six total Conference USA Weekly Awards this season. They now have tallied 11 CUSA Weekly Awards in their first two seasons with the conference.
