DALLAS – For the second time in just four weeks, junior golfer
Emma Bunch has been named the Conference USA Women's Golfer of the Week. Last week, Bunch turned in a top-five finish at the Red Raider Invitational in Lubbock, Texas, as she posted a 54-hole score of 211 (-5) to finish fourth amid the 88-woman field.
Bunch opened her week with rounds of 71 (-1) and 70 (-2) to enter the final day in a tie for third place. Bunch remained consistent and carded a 70 (-2) in Wednesday's final round to secure the 10
th top-five finish of her collegiate career. With last week's performance, Bunch has now shot under par in five of her six rounds this season and in 21 of her previous 22 rounds.
With the distinction, Bunch has now been named the Conference USA Golfer of the Week a total of seven times, including earning two of the four awards this season. Bunch has now played a total of six rounds this season as is averaging a score of 69.5 per 18 holes. In her career, Bunch has played 59.5 rounds for the Aggies as is averaging an impressive 18-hole mark of 71.5 strokes.
