LAS CRUCES, N.M. – In a unique format, the NM State men's and women's golf teams will play alongside each other this weekend as they travel to Santa Ana Pueblo, N.M., to compete in the NB3 Matchplay at Twin Warriors Golf Club.
 
The event hosted by four-time PGA Tour winner Notah Begay III will be a two-day event which will feature a round-robin style match play between NM State, New Mexico, Stanford and Texas. Each team will travel five male and female players to northern New Mexico. Winning teams in each match will be credited with one point with the point being split between the two teams in the event of a tie.
 
Beginning Tuesday, teams will play 36 holes on before returning Wednesday for the final round of competition. Monday's round will begin with a shotgun format start at 3:30 p.m. MDT while Wednesday will get underway at 4:30 p.m.
 
AGGIE LINEUP
On the women's side, NM State will be represented by Emma Bunch, Isa Laulhé, Kaylee Chen, Marley Moncada and Emma Thompson. This will mark the collegiate debut for freshman Emma Thompson while Isa Laulhé makes her second appearance of the season and the remaining Aggies each compete for the third time this year.
 
On the men's side, the Aggies will travel Javier Delgadillo, Aidan Thomas, Vari Mariscal, Mateo Payán, Alexandre Bauduin and Ethan Klose. Delgadillo, Thomas, Mariscal and Payán will each appear in their third event of the season while Bauduin and Klose will make their second appearances of the year.

MATCH PLAY FORMAT
The event will begin at 7 a.m. on Tuesday morning and will commence with opening ceremonies and a tribal blessing. This will be followed by a shotgun start in twosomes at 7:20 a.m. The Aggies will begin the week with matchplay versus the men and women from Texas.
 
Following lunch on Tuesday, teams will return to the course for afternoon matchplay when the Aggies will take on Stanford. The final round will begin at approximately 11 a.m. on Wednesday. Following the event, a men's team champion, a women's team champion and a combined university champion will be crowned.

THE COURSE
The event will take place at the iconic Twin Warriors Golf Club in Santa Ana Pueblo, N.M. First opened in 2001, the course offers spectacular views of the Sandia Mountains was voted New Mexico's Best Golf Course in 2022 by World Golf Awards.
