Aggies Struggle with Shooting Performance Against No. 13 Kansas State

NM State shoots lowest FG percentage this season.

MANHATTAN, Kansas – The New Mexico State Women's Basketball team played No. 13 Kansas State tonight in the Bramlage Coliseum. After another slow start for the Aggies and their lowest FG percentage (21.4%) in the first quarter, frustration controlled the team's playstyle in the remainder of the game causing them to ultimately fall to the Wildcats, 39-83.

Molly Kaiser made almost half of the team's score, finishing with 15 points on her own.

Diarrah Sissoko sank in her first 3-pointer this season in the first half of the game as she pulled up from deep in the final seconds remaining.

Though her shot would cut the team's deficit below 20 in the first half, they continued to strain the opponents lead coming out of the locker rooms.

The Aggies also found themselves struggling to clean boards against K-State, picking up almost ten fewer rebounds than the teams average this season.

K-State's Center Ayoka Lee, dropped 34 points on the Aggies and led the team in FG% (77.7%), rebounds (11), and blocks (three). Only a total of two of the Wildcats scored in double figures tonight.

The Wildcats scored above 50% in every single quarter to give the team a 44 point deficit over the Aggies.
