LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The Aggies returned to Papago Golf Course on Friday morning as they took part in the second round of the PING/ASU Invitational. Through 36 holes, the Aggies are 21 over par and are tid for 16
th place despite shooting a combined seven strokes better than they did on day one of the tournament.

While the team title may be out of reach for the Aggies, NM State's
Emma Bunch is once again in a great position to contend for the individual title entering the final round of the tournament. On the second day of play, Bunch posted a two-under-par 70 to improve to five-under-par for the week. The impressive two days of play put Bunch in a three-way tie for second where she sits just two shots behind Oklahoma State's Ellie Bushnell for the lead. Bunch is also joined at five-under by Zoe Campos of UCLA who is currently ranked 14
th in the nation among individuals.

The Aggies improvement as a team came in large part due to the play of the other player as each of the other four Aggies either matched their round one score or shot lower on day two. Currently, the group of Aggies behind Bunch is led by Isabel Laulhe who posted her second 73 (+1) of the week to find herself tied for 38
th in the 92-woman field. Meanwhile,
Angela Garvin submitted NM State's best turnaround as she carded a 75 (+3) to improve on her round one score by six strokes. Garvin is currently tied for 86
th alongside another Aggie in
Alison Gastelum who posted a 77 (+5) on Friday. Lastly,
Marley Moncada shaved two strokes off her round one score to turn in an 81 (+9).

NM State will wrap up the weekend on Saturday when
Angela Garvin is set to be the first Aggie off the tee – going off of hole 16 at 9 a.m. MT.
Emma Bunch and Isabel Laulhe will play together and will also begin on hole 16 at 9 a.m. MT.
Alison Gastelum will be in front of this trio as she tees off of 17 at 9 a.m. MT while
