Aggies Wrap Day Two in the Golden State

Mariah Humphrey, T’Erica Boyd post top-three finishes; Emily Stutesman tallies second-fastest 5000m time in program history.

Azusa, Calif. – Embarking on day two of a weekend in California, the Aggies took part in a quartet of meets on Friday – the Cerritos Invitational, Leopard Distance Carnival, the Bryan Clay Invitational and the Beach Invitational.
 
Mariah Humphrey posted a first-place finish and T'Erica Boyd took third in Norwalk, Calif., Emily Stutesman recorded a personal best time and the second-fastest in NM State history in the 5000m, and multiple Aggies tallied new personal bests.
 
Cerritos Invitational
Part of the team taking part in the Cerritos Invitational in Norwalk, Calif., Mariah Humphrey tallied a season-best mark in the javelin, taking first place with a mark of 39.62m (130-0").
 
Running in the 100m hurdles, sophomore T'Erica Boyd posted a season-best time of 13.84 seconds to take third. Also in the 100m hurdles, Cameron Hodges posted a new personal best with a time of 14.32, while Breanna Moss tied her best time with a mark of 14.36.

Leopard Distance Carnival
Jordan Torres was the lone entrant among the Crimson & White in the 3000m steeplechase, posting a personal best in the process with a time of  11:37.65.
 
Vanessa Gracian crossed the line with a time of 17:30.37 in the 5000m, taking 15th overall. On the men's side of competition, Thomas Croshaw recorded a new personal best in the 5000m run, posting a time of 14:22.63.
 
Kayla O'Connell competed in the 10,000m run for the first time in her collegiate career, finishing with a time of 36:47.79.
 
Bryan Clay Invitational
Over in Azusa, Calif., Jahnya Hill recorded a personal best in the 800m run, posting a time of 2:17.39. In the invitational edition of the race, Thulisile Amon crossed the line with a time of 2:09.24, a new season-best for the senior.
 
In the 5000m run, Emily Stutesman shattered her previous personal best in the 5000m run, posting a time of  16:35.34. Already among the program's best marks, Stutesman's Friday night result now gives her the second-best time in NM State history. Maggie Gibbs ran the event for the first time in this season's outdoor competitions, recording a time of 16:48.38.
