Bunch becomes first Aggie in program history to be selected.

NORMAN, Okla. – The list of accomplishments for sophomore Emma Bunch just keeps on getting lengthier. On Tuesday afternoon, it was announced on the Golf Channel that the Lynge, Denmark, native would be earning the distinguished honor of playing in the 2024 Arnold Palmer Cup as a member of the international squad.

"Emma is very deserving of being chosen to represent the international side for the Arnold Palmer Cup," said NM State Head Coach Danny Bowen. "What she's been able to accomplish not only this Spring with her win streak, but all season long is now being recognized at the highest level. She is our first ever APC selection, and we are very proud! Thank you to the GCAA and WGCA for giving her this honor."

The matches will be played July 5-7 at Lahinch Golf Club in Lahinch, Ireland, as Rolex continues its more than 50-year relationship with Arnold Palmer through its support of the matches.

This season, Bunch has taken her game to a different level – winning at least a share of the individual title in each of the Aggies' previous five competitions. The current hot streak was most recently bolstered by winning the 2024 Conference USA individual title last week. At the final scheduled event of the season, Bunch submitted scores of 68, 70, and 71 to finish seven under par – winning the event by one stroke.

Bunch was also crowned champion at the GCU Invitational, the UNF Collegiate, the PING/ASU Invitational and the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic. This stellar season led to Bunch collecting five of the Aggies' seven CUSA Women's Golfer of the Week honors.

On the year, Bunch has played a total of 30 rounds and is averaging an 18-hole score of 69.7 strokes. Thus far, her lowest round was a 66, which she has posted three difference times this season and most recently during the second round of the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic. She has also tallied nine top-10 finishes and 10 top-25 finishes this season.

Following her victory at the CUSA Championships, she has earned a spot in the upcoming NCAA Regionals. Bunch will learn her destination on Wednesday, April 24, at Noon MT. The official selection show will air on the Golf Channel.

Bunch will be joined on the international team by 23 men and women.
