LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Mitch Namie was listed as one of the 11 Conference USA student athletes onto the CUSA Baseball All-Academic Team on Friday, May 17. Namie is the first Aggie to earn the achievement of Conference USA All-Academic Team.

Namie is an accounting major who has a cumulative GPA of 3.9. Namie has been performing in the classroom since he was in high school as he posted a perfect 4.0 GPA. In high school Namie was the Student of the Year three time in three different subjects.

Namie has had a great year on and off the field. He is currently batting .333 with a .964 OPS. Namie has drove in 34 RBIs on the season, with 12 doubles and five home runs on the season.
