Bunch becomes fourth Aggie to earn first or second team honors.

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The season may have come to a close, but Emma Bunch is still continuing to make headlines. On Friday morning, the sophomore was named to the Division I Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Second Team. With the honor, she becomes the fourth golfer in program history to collect first or second team all-America honors while being the first to do so since Alena Sharp in 2002-03.

Bunch's list of accomplishments continues to grow after she pieced together one of the most impressive resumés this season. In the spring, Bunch secured five consecutive individual titles leading up to an appearance in the NCAA Cle Elum Regional where she finished tied for 24th among an extremely deep field consisting of 67 players.

In total, Bunch played a total of 33 rounds and averaged an 18-hole score of 70.2 strokes. Her lowest round of the year was a 66 which she posted three different times this season and most recently during the second round of the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic. She also tallied nine top-10 finishes this season while posting a top-25 finish in all 11 events she competed in this season. Ahead of the NCAA Regional, Bunch posted an average score of 68.6 across the five spring events that she and the Aggies competed in.

This incredible campaign led the Lynge, Denmark, native to earning a spot on the ANNIKA Award Watch List while also picking up a spot on the Arnold Palmer Cup International Team. Additionally, Bunch hauled in Conference USA Golfer of the Year and Conference USA Most Improved Player of the Year honors. During the season, Bunch was voted the CUSA Golfer of the Week five difference times.

With the distinction, Bunch joins a list of seven other Aggies to earn WGCA All-America honors and joins only Alena Sharp, A.J. Eathorne, Jane Egan and Lori Poling as the only Aggies to claim first or second team honors.
