DALLAS – While the Aggies' regular season has come to a close, the awards continue to pour in. On Monday afternoon, Conference USA announced its Track & Field All-Academic teams, including senior
Thulisile Amon from Middleburg, South Africa.
In the classroom, Amon posted a 3.92 GPA while earning a degree in social work. She was also named an NM State Spring 2024 Commencement Scholar Athlete. Amon was among 19 Aggies to earn All-Academic honors in the WAC last season.
Amon competed primarily in middle distance events for NM State, and holds the school record in the outdoor 800m run with a time of 2:05.42. This past spring, Amon helped the Aggies to a third-place finish in the CUSA Outdoor Track & Field Championships as she took bronze in the 800m with a mark of 2:10.12.
