SEASIDE, Calif. – The NM State men's golf team wrapped up the second day of action at the Saint Mary's Invitational at Bayonet Golf Course in Seaside, Calif. After posting an improved score of 296 (+8), NM State holds a two-day score of 594 (+18) to sit in a tie for 12
th alongside UC Santa Barbara. With 18 holes to play, Arkansas State paces the field with a score of 564 (-12).
Senior
Ethan Klose submitted a 71 (-1) to move up 23 spots on the leaderboard and into a tie for 27
th.
Max Chan also made a leap during Tuesday's round after shooting a 73 (+1) to end the day in a tie for 58
th.
Javier Delgadillo and
Bryant Hernandez each carded a 76 (+4) as Delgadillo now sits in a tie for 44
th and Hernandez in a tie for 74
th. Mateo Payán rounded out the group with a 78 (+6) and will begin Wednesday in a tie for 50
th.
Through two days, NM State has been one of the most consistent teams among the field as it has recorded 115 total pars to rank second in the field.
NM State will begin its final day at 9:54 a.m., when
Ethan Klose will tee off alongside competitors from Cal Poly, San Francisco and Washington State. Meanwhile, Mateo Payán,
Javier Delgadillo,
Max Chan and
Bryant Hernandez will follow behind, playing alongside representatives from Washington State.
