LAS CRUCES, N.M. – NM State men's basketball has officially unveiled its 2025-26 nonconference schedule, highlighted by a clash with in-state rival New Mexico and a neutral-site meeting with Tulsa in Frisco, Texas.
The Aggies will open the new season in front of the Panamaniacs at home on Tuesday, Nov. 4, when they welcome Adams State to the Pan American Center. The homestand continues the following week as NM State squares off with New Mexico Highlands on Tuesday, Nov. 11. Just a few days later, the spotlight shifts to the first rivalry matchup of the season as the Aggies host New Mexico in the annual Battle of I-25 on Saturday, Nov. 15.
Highlighting the early-season slate is the Cancun Challenge, which tips off with a home matchup against Samford on Friday, Nov. 21. The Aggies then head south of the border to face UC Irvine on Tuesday, Nov. 25, followed by a meeting with Georgia State on Wednesday, Nov. 26.
December begins with another neutral-site contest, this time stateside, as NM State travels to Katy, Texas to take on South Alabama on Tuesday, Dec. 2. Four days later, the Aggies make the short trip to Abilene to meet Abilene Christian on Saturday, Dec. 6, before returning to the Lone Star State a week later for a neutral-site clash with Tulsa in Frisco, Texas, on Saturday, Dec. 13. Nonconference action then wraps up back in Las Cruces with a home tilt against the University of the Southwest on Sunday, Dec. 28.
In total, NM State is set to host 15 home games inside the Pan American Center this season. Following nonconference play, the Aggies turn their attention to Conference USA action, which expands to a 20-game schedule in 2025-26 with the additions of Delaware and Missouri State. League play begins early as NM State welcomes Sam Houston to the Pan Am on Sunday, Dec. 21, marking the first of 10 conference contests on their home floor.
