NM State Finishes Regular Season at PING/ASU Invitational

Aggies move up one spot on team leaderboard during final round.

PHOENIX – The NM State women's golf team wrapped up its regular season over the weekend as it competed in the PING/ASU Invitational hosted by Arizona State University at Papago Golf Course. After three rounds of action, the Aggies finished in 12th place in a deep field of 13 teams. NM State ultimately recorded a total score of 899 (+35) in the tournament which was won by No. 9 Arizona State with a score of 828 (-36).
 
Individually, the Aggies were led by Camille Pazouki who closed out the event in a tie for 38th with a 54-hole score of 222 (+6) following a 74 (+2) on the final day of action. The finish for Camille Pazouki marked the best placement of her young Aggie career. Her 54-hole score of 222 is also her best three-round score by one stroke.
 
Emma Bunch finished one stroke behind Pazouki to place in a tie for 45th, while Angela Garvin followed Bunch by just one stroke to place in a tie for 49th.
 
Alexandria Armendariz, who competed at the tournament as an individual, closed out the weekend in a tie for 51st (+10) while Kaylee Chen finished 64th (+14) and Isabel Laulhé placed 76th (+28).
 
UP NEXT
The Aggies will now begin to prepare for the Conference USA Championships which are set to take place on April 14-16 in St. Augustine, Fla., at World Golf Village.
