ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Aggies opened play at the William H. Tucker on Friday as they completed the first two rounds from UNM Championship Golf Course. With 18 holes remaining, the Aggies sit in 18
th as a team after shooting a combined 10-over on the day.
Senior
Javier Delgadillo paced the group of Aggies as he shot one-under and tallied eight birdies across his first 36 holes. With rounds of 74 and 69, Delgadillo sits in a tie for 36
th place. Mateo Payan also submitted a solid second round by matching Delgadillo with a 69 (-3) of his own to finish the day at even-par and in a tie for 48
th.
Meanwhile,
Vari Mariscal (+6, T88),
Anthony Lara (+7, T91) and
Ethan Klose (+11, T100) round out the remaining Aggies participating in this weekend's event. In total, NM State recorded 28 birdies on day one of the tournament.
