VALENCIA, Calif. – The NM State women's golf team concluded its run at the Bruin Wave Invitational on Tuesday at Valencia Country Club, finishing eighth in a competitive 14‑team field. The Aggies posted rounds of 302, 300 and 312 to finish with a 54‑hole total of 914 (+50).
 
Senior Emma Bunch once again paced the Aggies, delivering rounds of 69, 72 and 74 to end the week at 215 (-1), earning a tie for ninth place among the 80‑player field. This marks another top‑10 finish for Bunch, who kicked off the final spring season of her illustrious collegiate career.
 
Junior Alexandria Armendariz posted a strong second‑round 70, before closing with an 80 to finish at 230 (+14), placing her T35. Matching her efforts was freshman Rylee Salome, who opened with 74–76 before an 80 in the final round placed her at 230 (+14) and in a share of 35th.
 
Sophia Luna delivered her strongest round of the week on Tuesday, firing a 78 to finish at 244 (+28) and in a tie for 72nd overall. Two strokes back was senior Marley Moncada, who wrapped up her tournament with an 81 to close at 245 (+29), finishing 74th.
 
The Aggies battled through one of the toughest fields of the spring, which featured No. 1–ranked Stanford, who won the event at 843 (-21)—along with nationally ranked programs from the Pac‑12, Big Ten, Big West and West Coast.
