LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Julius "Juice" Mims has been named a 2025-26 CSC Men's Basketball Academic All-District honoree, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.
Mims is one of eight Conference USA men's basketball student-athletes to earn the distinction, highlighting his excellence both on the court and in the classroom.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
In his lone season with the Aggies, the 6-9 graduate forward from Billings, Mont., has been a consistent force in the frontcourt for the Crimson & White. Mims has started 31 of NM State's 32 games while emerging as one of the league's premier rebounders. He is nearly averaging a double-double, posting 10.6 points per game – the second-best mark on the team – while leading the Aggies and ranking second in Conference USA with 8.4 rebounds per contest.
Mims delivered one of his most dominant performances of the season against Jacksonville State, recording a double-double with 13 points on 4-8 shooting while pulling down a career-high 17 rebounds. He also converted 5-6 attempts from the free-throw line and added an assist and a block in the contest.
During conference play, Mims put together an impressive stretch that saw him record five double-doubles over a seven-game span, including a standout 21-point, 13-rebound performance against Liberty.
