LONG BEACH, Calif. / AZUSA, Calif. / LA VERNE, Calif. – Following a Borderland trip last week, the Aggies returned to the track in 'The Golden State', splitting the team across four different meets – the Pacific Coast Invitational and Beach Invitational in Long Beach, the Leopard Invitational in La Verne and the Bryan Clay Invitational, hosted on the campus of Azusa Pacific in Azusa.
In all, the Aggies saw 21 top-10 finishes, 21 personal bests and nine record book entries.
THURSDAY
Trista Cordova kicked off the weekend's action, debuting in the 10,000m run and posting a time of 37:42.07 seconds at the Bryan Clay Invite.
In La Verne,
Nia Allison led the way in the 3000m steeplechase, taking second overall with a new best time of 10:35.99 – the second-fastest time in school history.
Jordan Torres also tallied a best day in the event with a time of 10:57.54, good for sixth-fastest in the NM State record books and fifth on the track.
Murrie Dodge tallied her second-best finish in the event this season with a time of 11:33.29.
Rounding out the trio of meets on day one,
Kamryn Cadle was the lone Aggie entrant in the Hammer Throw, recording a mark of 51.27 meters at the Pacific Coast Invite.
Marlee Cavitt recorded an all-conditions best time of 11.46 (+3.1 m/s) to take third overall in the event, while
Alyssa Crump also recorded an all-conditions best of 11.82 (+3.7 m/s).
Sara McKee notched a best time of 12.33 (+2.5 m/s).
Later in the 200m, Cavitt tallied a personal best time of 23.65, the sixth-fastest in program history, and fifth overall in Long Beach.
Aileen Alvarado notched a best jump of 1.68m (5-6") to take fifth place, her first of two appearances in the event on the weekend.
The 4x100 quartet of

Marlee Cavitt,
Alyssa Crump,
Jaylah McDonnell recorded a time of 45.80, the second-quickest mark in the event this season.
In Long Beach,
Aja Johnson recorded a weekend best mark of 5.67m in the long jump.
Setting her first of two personal bests in the event on the weekend,
Kamryn Cadle posted a mark of 15.02m (49-3.75"), then the fifth-best mark in program history, while
Julia Nystrand recorded a new personal best of 12.59m.
FRIDAY
Back at the Leopard Invite,
Murrie Dodge finished with a 5000m time of 18:14.83, a personal best.
At the Beach Invite,
Kamryn Cadle (53.02m) and
Julia Nystrand (50.18m) notched new personal bests.
Presley Edwards led the way for the javelin with a best throw of 40.82m, with
Kylie Rubrecht tossing her second-best distance of the season (36.44m).
In the 100m prelims at the Bryan Clay Invite,
Marlee Cavitt tallied a time of 11.58, with
Alyssa Crump (11.90),
Jaylah McDonnell (12.08) and
Aja Johnson (12.21) shortly behind.
The 800m saw a quartet of Aggies take the track, paced by Eloïse Stuart's time of 2:08.47, the fourth-fastest in school history.
Amanda Radava (2:09.17),
Angela Korte (2:12.57), Adéla Steinsová (2:14.23) rounded out the entrants in the event.
SATURDAY
In the shot put,
Kamryn Cadle launched a best distance of 15.41m (50-6.75"), her second personal best in the event of the weekend, now moving into fourth-place all time.
Alesha Lane finished 10
th overall with a weekend best of 14.97m.
Competing in the discus for the second time this weekend,
Alesha Lane posted the top mark among Aggies.
Kamryn Cadle tallied a personal best.
In Azusa,
Nia Allison raced out to a time of 4:20.02 in the 1500m, the second-fastest time in school history. Eloïse Stuart posted a result of 4:30.99, the ninth-fastest. Adéla Steinsová's time of 4:31.84 represents a new personal best.
Men's Events
At the Leopard Invite, Nick Valle led the way for the NM State men with a time of 14:56.84, a new personal best. Angel Maese also recorded a personal best with a time of 15:02.55.
For the second year in a row Thomas Croshaw set a school-record time in the 5000m at the Bryan Clay Invitational, crossing the line with a time of 13:52.49, while Leo Valenzuela (14:34.47) recorded a new personal best.
In Long Beach, Leo Valenzuela led NM State with a new personal best time of 4:04.68.
Closing the weekend with the 1500m at the Bryan Clay Invite, Thomas Croshaw took the top time with a result of 3:53.63, and Orion Chavez 4:01.24 posted a personal best.
UP NEXT
The Aggies stay in the Land of Enchantment, heading up north to Albuquerque for the second time this season for the Don Kirby Tailwind Twilight. The one-day meet is set for Friday, April 24.
