DALLAS – NM State student-athletes were honored for their success in the classroom as 282 Aggies earned recognition as members of the Commissioner's Honor Roll, Conference USA Commissioner Judy Macleod announced Thursday afternoon.
In order to achieve this honor, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better and have completed at least one academic semester at the institution in either spring 2025 or fall 2025. This academic year, a total of 3,718 student-athletes accomplished this feat.
At NM State, the program that garnered the most award recipients was football with 79 honorees, an increase of 17 individuals from last year. The Aggies' women's cross country and track and field program combined to land 32 individuals on the list to come in with the second-most honorees for an Aggie program. Both Soccer and swimming and diving each had 30 student-athletes recognized, while Softball landed 26 student-athletes on the list to follow closely behind.
Meanwhile, baseball totaled 19 honorees while volleyball had 17, men's cross country had 12, men's tennis and women's basketball both had 11, women's golf, men's golf and women's tennis each had nine and men's basketball tallied seven selections.
