MARICOPA, Ariz. – The NM State women's golf team turned in a strong performance at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic, finishing sixth overall at Ak‑Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club. The Aggies showed consistency throughout the week, opening the event in third place before settling into the top half of the 20‑team field following rounds of 287 (-1), 292 (+4) and 290 (+2).
 
NM State was in contention early after a solid opening round on Monday. Over the final two rounds, the Aggies ultimately secured a top‑six finish against a field that included several Mountain West and Power‑conference programs.
 
Individually, Emma Bunch anchored the Aggie lineup throughout the tournament. The senior opened with an impressive 68 (-4) in Round 1 to sit near the top of the leaderboard, followed by another 68 (-4) in Round 2 before closing with a 71 (-1) in the final round. Her three‑round performance left her in a tie for fourth at the conclusion of the tournament.
 
Rylee Salome provided steady scoring across all three days, beginning with an even‑par 72 in the opening round. After battling through a tougher second round, Salome rebounded with another 72 (E) on Tuesday, finishing as one of three Aggies to record at least one round at par or better.
 
Sophia Luna followed a similar path, carding rounds of 74 (+2) in both Round 1 and Round 2 before closing strong with an even‑par 72 in the final round.
 
Rounding out the scoring for the Aggies, Alexandria Armendariz and Marley Moncada contributed valuable rounds throughout the tournament. Armendariz posted rounds of 73 (+1), 77 (+5) and 75 (+3), while Moncada recorded matching 74 (+2) scores in the first two rounds before closing with an 81 (+9) on Tuesday.

• With a fourth-place finish, Emma Bunch marked her fifth straight top-10 finish and 23^rd top-10 finish of her career. This also serves as her 15^th top-five finish of her collegiate career.
• Marley Moncada finished 2-under on the par 3s for the week, leaving her in a tie for fifth-best among the field.
• Emma Bunch ranked tied for second in the field in par 5 scoring with an average of 4.50.
• Rylee Salome's 42 pars ranked tied for seventh in the field.
• Emma Bunch was one of just five players in the field with fewer than four bogeys on the week.
