LAS CRUCES, N.M. – As Head Coach
Adeniyi Amadou and his team prepare for the new season, NM State has announced its non-conference schedule. The 13-game non-conference slate includes five home games, with six true road contests and a pair of neutral-site games.
For the first time since the 2023-24 season, the Aggies' season opener will be a home contest, playing host to San Diego on Monday, Nov. 2. The teams met in the 2025-26 season in San Diego, Calif., a 57-48 victory for the Toreros.
Staying in Las Cruces, NM State will next welcome Southern Utah for its kids' game, with tip-off set for Friday, Nov. 6, at 11 a.m.
The first road trip of the season will see the Crimson & White make a short trek down I-10 to El Paso, playing the UTEP Miners as non-conference opponents for the first time since the 2022-23 season. Since July 2023, the Aggies and Miners have been members of Conference USA, though in July, UTEP made the move to the Mountain West Conference.
Returning home to the Pan American Center, the Aggies will next face Kansas City, on Monday, Nov. 16. The 'Roos played in the Western Athletic Conference with NM State from 2012-2020.
A trip west then sees the Aggies visit the University of Arizona, squaring off with the Wildcats on Thursday, Nov. 19 in Tucson.
Two days later on Nov. 21, NM State makes the journey up north to Albuquerque, visiting the New Mexico Lobos for the first time since the 2024-25 campaign.
Over Thanksgiving week, the Crimson & White will head to Reno, Nev., to compete in the Nugget Classic, hosted by the University of Nevada. The Aggies and Wolfpack will meet on Friday, Nov. 27, while a neutral-site contest between NM State and UC Davis is set for Sunday, Nov. 29.
As the calendar shifts to December, NM State begins with a pair of home games, hosting Saint Mary's (Wed., Dec. 2) and UTEP (Sat., Dec. 5). The final week of non-conference play will see the Aggies visit a trio of California schools – UC Irvine (Mon., Dec. 14), UC Riverside (Thu., Dec. 17) and CSUN (Sat., Dec. 19).
This leads into NM State's Conference USA slate of games, with 18 games between January 2 (at FIU) and March 6 (vs. FIU), culminating in the 2027 Air National Guard CUSA Basketball Championships, held March 9-13 in Huntsville, Ala.
