New Mexico State University Athletics

2015-16: Made 30 appearances for NM State in her junior season…helped guide the Aggies to their second-straight Western Athletic Conference regular-season and tournament crown…played in 18 minutes and pulled down six rebounds against No. 11 Arizona State (3/18) in NM State’s second-straight NCAA Tournament appearance…scored a career-high 14 points against Southern Utah (11/24) on 6-of-6 shooting with five boards…nearly had a double-double against Western New Mexico (1/4), tallying eight points and 12 rebounds…pulled down a crucial 10 rebounds in win at UMKC (1/14)…concluded the season with 2.4 points per game and 3.9 boards per game.
 
2014-15: Made 25 appearances off the bench during her sophomore campaign…was a member of the Aggie squad that won their first WAC regular-season and tournament title…saw four minutes of action and scored a basket against No. 11 Maryland (3/21) in NM State’s first NCAA Tournament game since 1988…scored in four-straight games to open the season…came down with 11 rebounds in the second game of the year at Boise State (11/18)…tallied a season high five points against Northern New Mexico (1/4)...wrapped up her second season averaging 1.2 points and 2.6 boards.
 
2013-13: Saw action in 29 games as a freshman for New Mexico State, including six starts in 538 minutes of action…opened her collegiate career with 11 points and four boards with one block and a steal against I-10 rival UTEP (11/12) on the road…went on to score in six-straight games to open the season…pulled down double-digit boards six times as a freshman, including a career-high 13 boards against Texas-Pan American (1/25), now known as UTRGV, on the road…recorded at least one rebound in all 29 games as a freshman…finished the season averaging 3.1 points and 6.7 rebounds…her 6.7 boards per game is good for second on the team that  year and first amongst the freshman class.

High School: Was a four-year letter winner at Antelope High School where she averaged 11.4 points and 12.2 rebounds on varsity all four years…averaged a double-double her junior and senior seasons for the Titans…as a senior, Ellis averaged 18.8 points and 17.4 rebounds and led AHS to the second round of the California Interscholastic Federation San Joaquin Section Division II playoffs…in her junior campaign, Ellis recorded 13.7 points per game to go with 15.1 boards per game as the Titans qualified for the CIF San Joaquin Section Division II playoffs…Ellis guided Antelope High School to the first of three-straight CIF Playoff appearances during her time there as a sophomore thanks to a 20-7 overall mark and 8-2 finish in the Capital Valley League…Ellis wrapped up her prep career with back-to-back All-Capital Valley Conference honors.
 
Personal: Daughter of LaShawnda Barker…has a twin brother, Isaiah who is younger by 10 minutes, that plays at basketball at Chico State…majoring in marketing with a minor in business administration.
