Biography

Prior to NM State: Harris attended New Mexico Junior College for the 2013-14 season where she played 30 games averaging 15.1 points and 6.4 rebounds per game while shooting 47.7 percent from the field.  Harris and the Thunderbirds were 25-5 overall and 13-1 in league play in 2013-14 en route to winning the Western Junior College Athletic Association championship. 

While at NMJC, Harris was an All-American honorable mention, a first team All-Region V pick and a first team all-conference selection. She was also named MVP of the NMJC Thunderbird Classic.

High School: Harris played for Cibola High School in Albuquerque, N.M. She graduated in 2013 and was the 2013 Female Athlete of the Year at Cibola. Harris was also a three-time all-state and all-district player, while earning first team All-Metro twice. She was named to the North/South All-Star team as a senior.

Personal: Harris is the daughter of Nina Martinez and a lifelong resident of Albuquerque.  She will major in biochemistry while at NM State in the hopes of one day becoming a pharmacist.
