Gwen Murphy (2015), Elfrida, Ariz.
Murphy had one of the best seasons in NM State history during her senior year in 2015, becoming the first Aggie to be named an AVCA All-American since 2011. That year, she led the Aggies to their first WAC Regular Season title since 2013, and also won the WAC tournament. In addition to breaking the school record for most matches played (136) and most sets played (472), she broke the WAC single-game hitting percentage record with a .933 hitting percentage against Robert Morris on Sept. 11, 2015. Along with being named an AVCA All-American, Murphy was also named AVCA First Team All-Region, 2015 WAC Player of the Year, 2015 WAC Tournament MVP and First Team All-WAC. In her sophomore season, Murphy was a part of the team that won the 2013 WAC Regular Season title, as well as the 2013 WAC Tournament. She was named First Team All-WAC in 2013.
Jennah DeVries (2009-11), Denver, Colo.
DeVries is one of two Aggies to earn multiple All-American honors and picked up her third straight honor after she finished her senior year leading the Aggies and finishing third in the WAC with 10.78 assists per set. A three-time first team all-WAC selection, she was also named to the WAC Tournament all-tournament team. She posted 13 double-doubles on the season and closed out her career with 4,051 assists, good for fourth place all-time in the Aggie record books. Her second honor came after she finished her junior year second in the WAC with 11.06 assists per set, behind fellow All-American Dani Mafua, from Hawaii who averaged 11.19 assists per set. DeVries continues to move up the record's ladder with 2,833 assists in her career. DeVries earned All-American honors as a sophomore as she averaged 10.14 assists per set as she played in all 103 sets NM State was in. She ended the 2009 season with 1,044 assists and marked at least 25 assists in 24 matches, while she tallied at least 40 assists in nine matches. She posted at career-high 66 assists against Idaho (Nov. 7) as the Aggies won in five sets at home. She earned All-WAC Freshman Team honors in 2008.
Krystal Torres (2008), Las Cruces, N.M.
Torres played for the Aggies from 2005-08 and earned All-American honors in 2008. That year she led the Aggies to their first-ever NCAA Tournament win, while also earning first-team All-WAC honors and WAC All-Tournament Team honors.The Aggies also shared the WAC regular-season title with Hawai'i that season. She currently holds the NM State career-digs record with 1,942 and the single-season record 615 in 2006. She also tied the single-match record of 33 digs, Sept. 22, 2007 at Hawai'i. During the 2008 season, Torres posted 10 or more digs in 32 of 34 matches.
Amber Simpson (2006), Las Vegas, Nev.
Simpson was considered the Aggies backbone at the net throughout her career as was named an All-American in 2006. That season she led the team and the WAC with a .387 hitting percentage, which ranked No. 18 in the NCAA. That mark also set the NM State single-season record. Simpson's dominating presence that year also earned her first team All-WAC and WAC All-Tournament Team honors. She finished her career with 574 total blocks, which is tops in the Aggie record books.
Kim Oguh (2005-07), El Paso, Texas
The only player in NM State history to earn All-American honors three times, Oguh earned the honor from 2005-07. Playing from 2004-07, Oguh finished her career with 1,150 kills. Her .337 career hitting-percentage and 463 career-blocks rank in the top three at NM State. The three time AVCA All-West Region selection hit over .500 in 11 matches in her junior year, while she earned first team All-WAC honors and WAC All-Tournament team honors.
Stevi Adams (2004), Houston, Texas
During her senior season, Stevi Adams lead a very young NM State team to its second straight Sun Belt Conference title and back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Tournament. The Aggies were 30-3 overall and obtained a perfect 15-0 record in league play in 2004. Thoughout the 2004 season, Adams had been chasing several Aggie career records and finally caught up to one during the conference championships. She finished her career with a program-best 1,559 career kills. That record still stands today.
Trinia Cuseo (2003), Forestville, Calif.
In 2003, middle hitter Trinia Cuseo became the first Aggie volleyball player to earn All-American honors. That year she led her team to its first ever NCAA Tournament appearance. As a senior, Cuseo finished first on the team in hitting percentage (.371), total blocks (130) and second in kills (425). She left as the career leader in hitting percentage (.348), a record that still stands today. Cuseo left NM State as one of the most decorated middle hitters in school history. In 2003, she was named first team All-Sun Belt for the second straight year ans was named the Most Outstanding Player of the 2003 Sun Belt Conference Volleyball Tournament.
