Biography

2004 (Senior): A.J. is slated to be the Aggies' stopper out of the bullpen this spring.

2003 (Junior): A.J. made 11 appearances, all out of the bullpen, including four appearances out of the bullpen in league play. He earned saves in back-to-back appearances. His first save came in the Aggies' 16-14 win at New Mexico (4/22) and his second in the Aggies 9-6 win over Western Kentucky. A.J. had an impressive performance against UL Lafayette, pitching 3.1 innings of no run, three hit relief, striking out four on April 4. He allowed only one home run in 22 innings last season.

Jacquez pitched 1.1 innings of hitless relief against Arkansas State (4/18) and went two innings allowing only one hit and no runs in the Aggies' win over Rhode Island (2/15).

2001-02 (Freshman-Sophomore): Jacquez set a school record for most strikeouts in a game at Phoenix College when he struck out 20 against Skagit Valley in 2002.

High school: A.J. was the MVP all four seasons at St. David High School in St. David, Arizona. He was an all-conference performer in baseball, football and basketball.

Personal: A.J. (Albert Jason) was born in Benson, Arizona and is the son of Albert and Deanna Jacquez. He is majoring in History.
