Biography

2005 Fall: Abe hit .241 in the fall while leading the team in doubles with six and smacking one home run. He also scored 12 runs, had one stolen base and hit eight RBI.

Junior: Aguirre comes to the Aggies after spending last season with Oklahoma State. In 17 games for the Cowboys, he got the start five times and stepped to the plate 30 times while hitting .233. He recorded one double, two homers and six RBI while scoring nine runs. On the field Abe had a fielding percentage of .966 with 46 putouts and 10 assists in 58 chances.

2003-2004: Aguirre played two seasons at the junior college level where he played shortstop for the Midland College Chaps. He led the team in doubles in 2004 and recorded the highest fielding percentage on the team. In 2003, he also set the school record for most doubles in a season as he knocked 24.

High School: Abe graduated from Eastwood High School where he helped lead the Troopers to their first district title in 20 years.

Personal: Abe was born in El Paso, Texas and is the son of Jesus and Esperanza Aguirre.
