New Mexico State University Athletics

Junior (2011): Neil saw limited playing time during his first year at NM State appearing in only four games and having only three at-bats.  Neil did, however, participate in the Horizon Air Summer League in California in 2011 and was voted to the all-series second-team.  Neil finished the summer with a .326 batting average, two home runs and 33 RBIs.

Junior College: Neil played first base at Cosumnes River College from 2009-10.  He helped his team to a 26-14 record in 2009 and was a Super Regional Participant.  He was also a participant in the 2009 Junior College All-Star Showcase.

High School:  Neil earned letters in baseball at Winters High School in Winters, Calif. from 2004-07, while also lettering in football and basketball.  Neil finished 13-3 over his career on the mound and tallied 14 home runs.  He helped his team to Butte View Leagues Championships in 2004, 2005 and 2007.

Personal: Neil is the son of John and Karen Neil and is majoring in Individualized Studies.  He was born in Woodland, Calif.
