Biography

Junior (2011): Karraker was the primary right fielder for NM State in 2011 playing in 55 games and starting in 47.  He finished fifth on the team and No. 196 (out of 500 ranked) in the country with a .350 batting average.  He finished the year scoring 55 runs, which was second most on the team and 55th most in the nation.  He was third on the team in slugging percentage  (.519) second in on-base percentage (.462) and third in doubles (13).  Karraker also hit four home runs on the year with his first two coming against Houston Baptist on consecutive days.  His first was on February 19 when he went 3-of-5 at the plate with a double, three runs and two RBI to push the Aggies to a 13-11 victory over the Huskies. His season-high of four hits came in game one of a doubleheader, Feb. 27 against Buffalo.  The Aggies won that game 23-11 as Karraker went 4-of-5 with the bat. He scored a season-high four runs against Seattle University, April 29 while NM State came away with a 10-2 win.  Karraker helped the Aggies earn an 11-9 conference victory over Sacramento State (May 7) as he was a perfect 2-for-2 with a home run, two walks, a stolen base and two RBI.

Junior College: Karraker helped lead his team to two separate Region 1 Championships in 2009 and 2010 while attending Central Arizona College. During his two years there, he acquired two first-team all-region awards, second team all-state and was announced as an NJCAA Rawlings Gold Glove winner in 2010.

High School: Karraker was a four-year letter winner in baseball and a two-year letter winner in football at Pinnacle High School in Phoenix, Ariz. He played both running back and linebacker in football and helped his teams advance to the playoffs in both sports in two different years. During his senior year in 2008, Karraker posted a .434 batting average with nine home runs.

Personal: Karraker is the son of Joel and Rose Karraker and was born in Phoenix, Ariz. He is working towards a degree in individualized studies.
