Biography

Fall 2006: Robinson did not see any action in fall season.

 

Senior (2006):  Robinson had to red-shirt in 2006 giving him one more year of eligibility.

 

Junior (2005): In his first season as an Aggie, Robinson was a dominant force on the mound as he was third on the team in wins last season as he finished with an overall record of 5-2 and recorded the second highest won-loss percentage on the team (.714).  He also finished fifth in opposing players? batting average (.325), third in innings pitched (78.1), third in batters struck out (61) and third in appearances (19).  While giving up only two triples all season, Bryan recorded an ERA of 6.89 while grabbing the starting role in 12 different games.  Against Chicago State (2/18), Bryan struck out six batters and gave up only one earned run in five innings pitched.  In a 3.1 inning appearance against the New Mexico Lobos, Robinson left a season-high seven batters stunned at the plate as the Aggies took the 9-8 win over their rivals.  He recorded at least two strikeouts on 14 occasions and left at least four batters standing 10 different times.  From Mar. 29 to May 1, Bryan made six appearances while striking out 31 batters and recording at least four strikeouts in every game while NMSU won four of those contests.  In that same stretch, Robinson also recorded six strikeouts two times against Sun Belt foes Western Kentucky and New Orleans.

 

Junior College: Robinson comes to New Mexico State University after playing two seasons at Glendale Community College, where he served as team captain in 2004.

 

High School: Brian graduated from Curtis High School in University Place, Wash., where he played baseball for the Vikings. In his senior year, Brian was named all-league and all-area first team. In his junior year he was named first team all-league and served as team captain (junior and senior year). James holds the sixth lowest ERA in league history with .69.

 

Personal: Brian was born in San Bernadino, Calif. and is the son of Phil and Sandra Robinson. He is double majoring in communications and journalism.
