Biography

Junior: In his junior campaign, Edwards started 27 games for the Aggies and was the designated hitter for 19 of those starts.  Edwards hit .294 on the season and his average improved to .365 at home.  He tallied six home runs and that tied for third best on the team.  Edwards hit four of his home runs at home where he also had a slugging percentage of .603, and he also stole three bases in three attempts at home.

Junior College: Edwards played baseball at Bellevue Community College from 2009-11 and helped his team to a NWAACC Championship in 2009.  Under the guidance of coach Mark Yoshino, Edwards earned first team All-NWAACC North Region honors.  He hit .330 in 2009 and .290 in 2010 and was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in 2011.

High School: Edwards was a three-year letter winner for baseball at West Valley High School in Yakima, Wash. While there he was named a first team CBL (Columbia Basin League) selection.

Personal: Edwards is the son of Eric and Judy Edwards and was born in Yakima, Wash.  He is majoring in accounting.
