Biography

Junior College:  While at New Mexico Junior College, Fielding played in the outfield and helped his team to a 55-10 record from 2003-05 and was part of the 2005 National Junior College Athletics Association Championship team.  He ended the 2005 season with a .413 batting average as he went 71-of-172 at the plate.  Fielding also logged eight doubles, 12 triples, 11 home runs and 53 RBI.  He had an on-base percentage of .471 and was one of the top base runners on the team as he stole 25 bases on 26 attempts.

 

High School:  Fielding played both football and baseball for the Frenship High School Tigers.  In football, the Tigers won the District championship and played in regionals.  On the baseball diamond, Fielding helped the Tigers to a 49-10 finish and a district championship in 2003.  Fielding was picked to play in the North-South Texas All-Star baseball game, and was also selected to All-District and All-State.

 

Personal:  Cody was born in Lubbock, Texas and is the son of Mark Fielding and Kelley Sellers.  He is majoring in Bachelor of Individualized Studies.
